To ensure the safety of life and property of personnel working in confined spaces, in accordance with the requirements of the Emergency Plan for Sudden Environmental Accidents, in order to improve the emergency plan system, enhance the practicality and operability of the plan, and improve the rapid response capability of the project department's emergency team to respond to sudden accidents. On November 24, 2022, Zicheng United Construction Group Co., Ltd. carried out the welding inspection of stainless steel lining welding process and emergency drill for confined space operations for the 2022 Yaozhuang, Xitang, and Tianning water supply network upgrading project (second section). Leaders from Jiashan County Water Investment Co., Ltd. and representatives from the Engineering Department of Zicheng United Construction Group Co., Ltd. participated in this event.
This drill simulated a generator failure, a sudden power outage of the ventilation fan, and oxygen deficiency in the pipeline causing suffocation of construction personnel. After the accident, the on-site personnel immediately reported to the command center, activated the emergency plan, and carried out emergency rescue and accident handling. The entire drill process was carefully planned and well-organized, achieving the expected results.
After the drill, the leaders of Jiashan County Water Investment Co., Ltd. affirmed the emergency drill activity and emphasized the need to protect personnel during the construction process, improve the emergency response capabilities of all staff, and ensure effective response to various unexpected accidents. The leaders of the group company stated that they will continue to strengthen emergency training and education for employees in the future, enhance their safety awareness, improve their ability to handle emergencies during the construction process, familiarize each construction worker with basic emergency tasks and procedures, and enable them to respond calmly in case of emergencies, thus preventing the occurrence of casualties.
