From December 12 to 16, 2025, the "Training Program for Architectural Faculty on Engineering Practice and Industry-Education Integration Capacity Enhancement" was successfully held at the Ramba Hills Project Site in Kigali. The program was jointly organized by Jinhua University of Vocational Technology and Rwanda Polytechnic, with support from Zicheng United International Rwanda Ltd. Fifteen teachers from five regional colleges under Rwanda Polytechnic and three faculty members from Jinhua University of Vocational Technology participated in the training. Zhang Hao, General Manager of Zicheng United International Rwanda Ltd., and his team were fully involved in providing support throughout the event.
The five-day training was structured into three modules: on-site engineering practice, cloud-based platform learning, and theoretical classroom instruction. The curriculum covered design standards, construction organization, building materials, engineering machinery, engineering surveying, handling of complex engineering issues, quality assurance, and also integrated discussions on course design and teaching methodologies. The program aimed to comprehensively enhance the participants' engineering practical skills and teaching capabilities.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Emile, Principal of Musanze College under Rwanda Polytechnic, and Professor Chen Hairong, Vice President of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology , delivered speeches via video link. Representatives from Zicheng United International Rwanda Ltd. attended the event on-site and engaged in exchanges.
In the future, the group company will continue to collaborate with both institutions in areas such as teacher secondments, student internships, skills competitions, and research cooperation. The goal is to explore a long-term mechanism that "promotes teaching through projects and fosters development through collaboration," providing more valuable practical learning opportunities for architectural faculty in Rwanda and setting a new sustainable model for China-Rwanda school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration.
